The Alcatel-Lucent 8262Ex DECT phone offers all the features of the 8262 DECT phone for working environments with a risk of explosion due to gas and dust. It is the ideal communication companion for mobile workforces in demanding working environments, e.g. in construction, manufacturing or the oil and gas industry.

The 8262 Ex DECT phone is designed for high reliability. The 180 g device with state-of-the-art technology is protected by a robust casing, and the shock-resistant display can withstand a drop from a height of up to two metres. Thanks to special shielding and a non-slip housing, the 8262 DECT phone can also be used with work gloves, as required in certain industries such as chemicals, construction or metallurgy.

The Alcatel 8262 Ex DECT phone provides comprehensive services for remote workers to help protect against workplace accidents. These include man-down detection, no-movement alarm, pull cord and emergency button functions.

Protection for remote workers is increased when they carry devices with geographical positioning functionality. The 8262 DECT phone is a cost-effective solution with high precision. The phone supports Bluetooth 4.1 Low Energy technology. The radio transmitters distributed across the work area are monitored using a central monitoring system.
